When Dating Meets Love and Friendship

There are two things that are so much related to each other and yet so different from each other as east is from west. This is the art of love and union of friendship. Dating happens to cut across between these two important factors in the relationship world. It happens when you want to celebrate friendship or your love. It is a simple but quite a complex issue. It all depends on the way you see the situation and make up your mind. The differences between the two entities are very similar in their differences and very different in their similarities.

Finding their similarities is equivalent to determining their differences. What many people have asked them is whether the entity of platonic friendship is also an alternative for person of the opposite sex. This is also an issue that faces many during dating instances where it might crop up any minute. The thing about friendship is that if you really care about a person, you have to aid the individual in his/her time of need. When we share thoughts and issues with an individual, they are then our good friends.

A good friend will be your backup in times of hardships and emergencies. It is in fact, our best friends who discover our lonely nature and make arrangements for us to meet their friends. We build good dating relationships that have the greatest chances of making it big. You will also find out that you are always expecting your best friend to understand you once you begin acting in a specific way. You don’t feel under any obligation to explain a situation or anything else to your good friend.

The intimate dating relationship you have and the strength of your friendship is understood well by your good friend. Our friends automatically understand us without much problem. The part of love in a relationship is different from what friendship and dating entail. In a relationship with deep love holding the reins, the sharing takes a novel meaning. The fact is that love transcends each tenet of friendship. Love makes us to be attracted and attached to only one person, while friendship can bring into the equation so many people.

A dating relationship that has people loving each other in a very pious way makes sure that there is great pain on the person who finds his lover hurting. Love does in a way involve a physical kind of element. This is something that friendship lacks. This is the greatest difference between friendship and love. Nature does bring forth love to the myriad species so that nurture can continue while nature fails to offer humans with the act of friendship.

When you are about to go to a dating spree with your friend, the beats of your heart never increase in their anticipation of the meeting. However the reverse is true when you are meeting a lover. You are bound to do all this and others if the need be. Love and friendship cannot be equal, yet they all have love.

Dating and Love After Divorce

Your marriage is over…now what? After allowing a sufficient amount of time to deal with the emotional fallout after divorce, it is time to move forward and begin a new journey into the land of dating and relationships once again. But, what is a sufficient amount of time? How do you find the strength to let someone into your life when you’ve shared so much for so many years then lost it? No two people are ever the same, no two situations are ever the same and the same rule applies to divorce. There is no universal solution when we all unique and our situations are unique, but there are some general tips to dating and love after divorce.

A divorce changes far more than your family dynamic, it will test your closest friendships as well. Though they will all deny it, your friends have all taken sides, passed judgement and gone to one side or the other..it cannot be avoided. Even if your best friend is still your best friend the relationship itself will have changed…and may continue to change now that you have a new found freedom. Perhaps you have a single friend of the opposite sex you’ve always admired. If dating them is not an option perhaps they can introduce you to the world of being single. You never know they may even have a single friend that is just right for your first date post divorce. The important thing is to get out and meet people. Soon, you will have a whole new circle of friends and potential dates. Start living your life again…love the freedom being single has brought you. Get a new hair cut or a cute new outfit to reward your rebirth.

If you are now single with children, make sure that they have emotionally dealt with the divorce situation before you shift into dating gear. Dating is an awareness process, so be sure to go on a few dates and know for certain this is someone you want to spend time with before introducing them to your kids… Screening your dates and limiting your childrens exposure to them until you are certain you will commit yourself to taking the relationship to another level will make their transition to your new life easier. They have had enough upheaval. However, always be honest with your dates about your family and your commitment to them. Hiding the facts is no way to ensure a second date.

Insecurities in yourself may surface after a divorce and this is quite normal. Your partner got your very best years and now no longer wants you. You might in a weak moment wonder if someone else will ever want you. Part of the healing process is knowing that we are not judged by the state of a marriage or the opinion of one man. Things just didn’t work out the way you planned..don’t let it define an entire gender. Hopefully you will take your healing past this point before you think about dating or love after divorce. If not, it may not have much of a chance for survival. People need to be whole individuals before they bring someone else into their life…because to find a great partner you need to first be a great partner. Smile as much as you can, even if you have to fake it at first. Soon, those fake smiles will turn into the real thing.

One of the greatest challenges post divorce, or for that matter dealing with dating in general, is the first date. If you can make it through that very first date with confidence knowing you are the best date this person could ever be out with you are far down road of recovery. Take it slowly, and realize that dating, especially after a divorce is about learning and growing. There will be failures. You might get your heart bruised, maybe even broken a time or two before you get it right. But one lesson that your divorce should have taught you is this: you are far stronger than you ever thought possible and you will get through this too, better, stronger and wiser on the other side. Dating and Love after divorce are definitely yours for the taking.

Love and Friendship – The Difference Between a Lover and a Friend

Are you a little confused why your friend is acting so strange the past few weeks? Is he somewhat giving you so much attention? Do you feel like he’s indeed falling in love with you? You might be having the right thinking about how he acts whenever you’re around. Love and friendship are two different things that are often mistaken by some. If things are still unclear and you are a bit unsure about everything, then you must consider these things. Here are some of the most noticeable signs that can classify love and friendship.

A friend forgives; a lover forgets.

A true friend is someone who will still forgive you no matter how big your mistakes are. Yes, they will forgive you, but they will never forget what you’ve done. In some ways, you’ll get their trust back, but the thing is, they will never easily forget everything. A lover is someone that, despite of everything you’ve done will still toss all those imperfections out and forget as if nothing had ever happened.

A friend will always be next to you; a lover will give up everything just to be with you.

Love and friendship may sometimes both give the same signals. When you need someone to talk to, a friend will always be there. They will lend a hand whenever you need one. You may share your secrets with them, laugh your heart out, and just be yourself. But when a lover is around, he might possibly find it hard to just look straightin your eyes. A lover is willing to sacrifice a day with a lot of duties that needs to be done just to be with you.

A friend will wait for long hours; a lover will wait until forever.

Friends will wait for you, but soon they will get tired and will no longer stay. And with those long hours of waiting, you’ll definitely hear complaints and all. A lover will patiently wait until you come and hear nothing but pure worries.Love and friendship are indeed both individually identifiable. It just takes a thorough examination of the person’s actions especially towards you.

A friend will laugh when you do something recklessand stupid; a lover will get mad if those happen.

By the time you’ve done something that is undeniably stupid and you have somewhat hurt yourself, friends are the first ones to be there. Not to support you, but to laugh about your foolishness. A lover will be preoccupied and will certainly nag you for your stupidity. Why? The answer is rather obvious – because he cares.

A friend thinks about today; a lover thinks about the future.

Love and friendship must be viewed differently.Friends are always present in every night outs and parties so somehow they will be thinking about the things that you’ll both do together for the rest of the day. A lover thinks about not only for the day or tomorrow, but a future with you too – a future with a figure of a happy family, and not a future with just the two of you.

Why Am I Still Single? – Online Dating, Dating and Chat Etiquette For Singles

Have you ever looked at your friends who have long term partners and wondered why you haven’t got that in your life? Do you ever wonder when Mr. or Ms. Right will come along, and what the hold up is? Have you ever thought if perhaps, possibly, you’re doing something that could be keeping them at bay?

Conventional online dating in the new millennium is vastly different, thanks to the internet, however still very much similar as it has always been for singles. Take a look at some of the more common mistakes singles make when starting to date new people. Perhaps you’re making some of these mistakes?

Lets assess your appearance and personal hygiene?

Take some time to get ready for your date. Clean your teeth. Refresh your breath. When you chat with your date, bad breath will surely be a turn off. SHOWER! Men, be sure to use deodorant. Ladies, don’t go overboard on the makeup or perfume. Select a pleasant looking outfit to wear and be sure it is suitable for the date. You wouldn’t wear an Armani suit when on a picnic, and you wouldn’t wear ug boots to the opera.

Make sure you are well mannered

When we are dating and trying to chat there are fewer turn-offs than a date who piles their dinner into his or her mouth, or even swears. Females who make snide remarks and chat about others during conversation is in pretty poor taste, and male singles who don’t hold doors open and other basic courtesies will find themselves getting the cold shoulder at the end of the night. “Please,”, “thanks,” and “excuse me” are important phrases to employ; they show your date that you are a respectful person.

Don’t chat constantly, let your date have some breathing space. Exposing your life history in day one? Nattering on regarding esoteric knowledge that may not interest him?

Everyone likes to be listened to. Your date is no exception! Whilst you may think the story of your life to be very fascinating, odds on that generally the first couple of dates, that guy probably isn’t all that interested in hearing every detail of your life in high school. That lovely little women most likely wont share your deep and enduring interest with vintage belt buckles, either. Singles should talk openly and ask and each other light hearted questions. Touch on these subjects, no problem, but don’t harp on them to the exclusion of all else, be sure that your date has ample time to talk, as well. These tips always apply whether you are dating in person, or you are in a private chat via an online dating service.

Make sure you pay attention when she is chatting to you

“Uh huh,” “yep,” “Oh, right…” – these remarks are a death knell to the start of a friendship. This implies that you’re distracted, not giving full attention to your date’s conversation. No one enjoys being on the sidetracks of someone’s thoughts, especially when they’re dating. LISTEN to him. Make remarks that show you are giving her full attention. “Really, your boss said THAT?” “and, where DID you decide to go?”

If you met through an online dating service, do you really look like that picture you uploaded?

This is a HUGE and frequent error many singles make when using dating services. They upload a photo from five years or fifteen Kilograms ago, or have a studio shot done, and wonder why their date looks let down or shocked when they meet for the first date.

We all want to appear at our very best and present the best possible appearance, however uploading out-dated and unrealistic photos is not the answer. Take or find a few photos that truly represent how you look RIGHT NOW. Don’t just fob off what is actually a work of fiction as fact.

Are you posing? Acting arrogant and conceited?

If you consistently pull that large wad of currency out, chat about your amazing achievements in sport, your job, and life, or take too much time removing that pocket compact to maintain your mascara, you’re going down a wrong track. Many singles dislike a flash date. Try to be a little more modest.

Don’t be TOO modest!

No one wants to reassure their date all night. “I honestly hope you think I look okay!,” “I’m such a huge clumsy galah!” and similar are NOT good conversation starters, or serious relationship starters. Show a little self-confidence, however don’t be arrogant and conceited about it. It can be a fine line, often, but not that hard to find.

Not always a good idea to focus on sex too quickly?

Sex is the best way to kill a budding romance. Guys, when you try to bed her too quickly, you’re sending her the signal that all she is, is just a convenient body to be enjoyed to satisfy your desire, that you’re not really looking for a long term romance. Ladies, even in this new millennium, jumping into bed too quickly tells men that you’re heaps of fun in the sack, but not the sort of women they want to bring home and introduce to Mum and Dad.

When is the right time to go that extra step? That’s difficult to say, however certainly do not try within the first three to five dates. Allow some time to get to know your dating partner before you move onto sex. If the time is right, you will know. Those singles looking for a quickie, try your luck with adult online dating sites, or the local night club or bar.

Putting it in perspective.

With the first couple of dates, the answer is to allow time getting to know them, while giving him or her enough opportunity to realize who you are, also . Chat, listen, and be respectful. Don’t forget that the person you are dating is probably just as nervous as yourself, so try to be forgiving if they make mistakes. They will probably be more likely to dismiss your little errors in return!

A first date should be light-hearted, cheerful, and enjoyable. So keep it pleasant and upbeat, you’re so much more likely to have a return date, and who knows? This first date might be the last first date and the start of something special!

Dating Advice UK: Ready to Date and Find A Relationship?

Well – are you ready to start dating? This may apply to whether you have been dating or are new to dating again after a long-term relationship. “Of course I am”, you may say, but it is surprising how many people I talk to who say they are ready but when we dig a bit deeper all kinds of dating/relationship/life issues surface. How about the lady who said she was ready but there was a certain man who had been around in the background for 11 years? Or the woman who likewise is ready but never has the time even to go to the hairdressers or check her bank statement because of the hours she works?

What gets in the way of successful dating?

So much can get in the way of being ready to date successfully and find a relationship. These are a few of the things that are common:-

o Still holding emotional baggage from previous relationships

o Being in the middle of legal chaos

o Working such long hours that you can’t find the time

o Over -commitment to family

o People in your life who hold you back

o Not knowing what you really want in a relationship

Wherever you may be, it is important that you give yourself a dating/relationship road check. By that I mean looking at all areas of your life so that you are clear what you need to handle before you could possibly start getting into a relationship. This may sound trite but to be successful in relationships you need to find a way to be successful in life. Relationships are not an isolated part of our lives but a reflection of how we live our lives in general. If your life is in balance it is much more possible that you will be able to find, and build upon, a successful relationship.

Building a Life That is Ready for Relationship

I just mentioned a relationship road-check. If you are going to be ready to go on the ‘road’ so to speak what needs to be in place? These are some areas that I suggest you look at:-

o Physical/emotional health

o Work/career

o Lifestyle

o Money

o Family

o Friends

o Environment – home etc.

o Relationships

What you need to do is to first honestly summarise where you are in all these areas. Secondly take a look at what you might need to do to resolve any or all of the issues that are currently outstanding. If for instance under “friendship” you realise that the people you mostly socialise with are only interested in going to bars & getting drunk and you have had enough of this. You need to find people who want to do the kinds of things that you would find interesting and satisfying. Your working life is less than satisfying, how can you turn this round? Remember small steps can make a big difference and I am not talking about doing this overnight. It is not a makeover programme but a life programme. It’s about getting more focused and into action on your own behalf.

Now Get Ready for Dating and Relationship

Now you have a plan for handling some areas of your life that need attention you can also look at where you are in terms of dating and relationship. The old saying “success breeds success” may be very annoying when your life does not resemble anything like success. Just a pause here to note that success is whatever success means for you not what others might judge to be success. I can assure you that when you begin to take the steps towards becoming more successful in one area of your life there are knock on effects that impact on other areas.

Without doubt you will begin to show up differently to those around you. Those friends who held you back or not even knowing how much you have in the bank can be a thing of the past. This is about standing up and taking responsibility for your life so that you can take responsibility for the successful relationship that you really want. Take one step at a time making sure that all the steps are going in the same direction and you will realise that you can get your life moving on the relationship road.
